AlBug Becoming Professional Real Esate Photographer

Why AlBug?

My name is Alin Bugeag and Al is my nickname. I travel in my blue WV New Beetle, the bug, which combined with the first three letters of my last name gave me the logo and the name for my photography business.

Why Photography?

Photography has always been one of my life-long passions, but I only admired other people's work, never trying it for myself. Five years ago I realized that I can do whatever I want in my life, so I just bought a camera and started shooting.

Why Real Estate Photography?

In my line of work I create virtual tours for U.S.A. and Canadian real estate agents. Having started my photography hobby, I became naturally drawn to taking real estate pictures. Being exposed to this market, I realized that there was a shortage of professional real estate photographers, as most real estate agents do not have the necessary equipment or knowledge to produce high quality pictures. That is where I felt I could step in and provide my skills and services.

How I started

I first started taking pictures around my own house and began learning as much as I could about real estate photography. I read every information I could find on the internet, in books, I went to photography workshops, and bought a special wide angle lens. I then started experimenting various techniques shooting the houses of my family and friends, thus preparing to shoot my first customers. Real estate agents liked my work and that encouraged me to continue and improve.

How long have I been in this business?

I would say about three years. I consider my first year just a training year.

Wide angle lens

With real estate photography you want to show the space or an environment, so potential buyers can get a feel for how is like to live in there. To do that you need a special kind of lens that which is called WIDE ANGLE lens which basically squeezes the photo to give you more of the surrounding.
